Home & Happiness
1. There's no perfect place
Take a deep breath.
Realize you’ve got one day. One that starts now, and will end when you get back into this bed tonight.
2. A year goes fast
``Good morning``
Say it with love. Say it with good intentions.
Say it with a smile. Say it happy.See the other person: your partner, your child.
Let them know they’re seen.
Notice how they’re feeling.
Appreciate they’re in your life.3. A year is a long time
``Good bye``
I love you
– Have a good day
– Learn something
– Have some fun4. Turn left at the 30-foot rabbit
It all starts with ROUTINE.
- Get things ready the night before – this saves, time, stress
- Clothes ready, especially if they’re a specific clothes needed (uniform for fieldtrip, special color for whatever day, costume for Halloween party…)
- Anything out of the ordinary
- Prepare your coffee
- Backpacks
- Start programming this in young – > our example: list: Backpacks ready… It will become automatic (RISK: what if they reject it? can overdoing it backfire”?)
- Make a checklist that kids run through:
- before bed (to prepare)
- before leaving the house (so nothing’s forgotten)
- Get things ready the night before – this saves, time, stress
x. There will be a last time
