I’m a student and teacher. My doctoral dissertation (“Computation and Comprehension in Bayesian Problem Solving”) investigated ways to help people become better thinkers. I’ve published research on how people make decisions, think with numbers, and solve problems. I’ve coached and taught English, math, marketing, writing, writers, creativity, psychology, and childhood development to people from 5 to 80 years old.
I’m an editor and writer. I maintain this site. I had a lot of fun writing an award-winning interactive article with the original voice of Siri (Siri is Dying, Long Live Susan Bennett) and co-creating an interactive video (Locked In) at a growing startup. I also edit and consult for business websites and blogs, and edit technical scientific articles.
